Microsoft Edge to get real-time video translation feature

Microsoft Edge will soon get a new feature that can translate videos on the fly. An option for that is already available to select Insiders, showing English, French, Spanish, and Russian as supported languages. In Edge Canary there is a new "Translate" button that appears when you hover over a video.

However, the feature is still being developed. So clicking the button and choosing a language does not currently activate any action.

Perhaps it will utilize speech recognition, convert the spoken text into written text, and display the translated text as subtitles. Microsoft is yet to reveal details on it.

Microsoft is yet to announce how the feature will work. It is unclear if it is powered by Bin Translator, and if it uses AI or not.

In other news, Microsoft has added a new feature to Edge that allows you to right-click on an image on the website, select Magnify, and view it in a bigger size. Images that fit the screen you will see full-size.
