You may remember that some time ago the Opera browser has got a Crypto wallet feature that allows you to manage digital currencies with ease. Looks like someone at Microsoft got inspired by this option and decided to add something similar to Edge.
The new feature has been discovered by well known Windows enthusiast Albacore (@thebookisclosed). Thought Microsoft runs a closed beta test, he managed to reveal a work-in-progress user interface of the wallet.
It actually reveals a lot of functions. The wallet supports mutliple currencies, e.g. it can be connected to the Ethereum network. There are tools for transferring and buying coins via Coinbase and MoonPay integrated.
The feature allows storing your coins and NFTs in a non-custodial wallet. For your convenience, it has a watchlist, the list of connected apps, and transaction history.
Finally, there is a feed dedicated to the crypto currency news.
The Crypto Wallet UI in the screenshots looks polished and feature rich, so it is unlikely that Microsoft will scrap it. The company is yet to announce it. However, if users will find the browser bloated and provide negative feedback on this addition, Microsoft may eventually turn it into a separate app.
