Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android is Out of Beta

Microsoft today announced that the Edge browser is out of preview stage for iOS and Android. This is the first non-beta mobile version of Microsoft Edge available in Apple's and Google's app stores.

With recent updates to Edge, the app got support for roaming passwords and a dark theme option. While these features are not unique and can be found in plenty of other browsers, at least for Android, Edge can provide one unique feature. "Continue on PC", a feature which has common roots with Windows Timeline will allow opening the web page that you were reading on your smartphone, directly on your PC, tablet or laptop, or bookmark it for further reading.

Edge also includes access to favorites, history, a reading list, and ebooks, but doesn't allow sharing tabs between mobile and desktop versions.

Unfortunately, the mobile version of Edge supports a very limited number of countries. At the moment of this writing, the app is available only for the United States, China (Simplified-Chinese), France (French), UK, Australia, Canada, and India (English). The Redmond software giant is going to bring the app to additional markets and languages later.
