Microsoft today announced that one of the most anticipated Windows 10 features, "Timeline", will make its appearance in the next Insider Preview build of Windows 10 "Redstone 4". As you may already know, Timeline was initially planned for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, but was excluded from the final version of the OS.
Timeline is a feature that allows users to review their activity history and quickly return to their previous tasks. It shows a list of your recently used apps, documents and web pages from all devices running under the same Microsoft Account, so the user can quickly return to a previous task and continue where he left off.
Timeline will be accessible right from the Task View, which has a button on the taskbar, so it is one click away from your current tasks.
The next build of Windows 10 Insider Preview will demonstrate a pre-release version of the Timeline feature. Of course, this may not be the final design of how it eventually ships in the release version of "Redstone 4". During the development process of Redstone 4, Microsoft will collect your feedback and make changes accordingly.
Another interesting feature we can expect in upcoming builds of Windows 10 is Cloud Clipboard. It will allow sharing clipboard content between all your devices.
