Although Chromium-based Microsoft Edge is the default browser in Windows 10, classic Edge based on the EdgeHTML rendering engine is still out there buried deep inside Windows 10. Moreover, there is a way to dig it up and restore it to the former glory. If you are still using classic Edge, which is also known as Edge Legacy, you need to be aware that its days are numbered. More evidence appeared that Edge Legacy can be soon removed from the operating system.
Aggiornamenti Lumia reports that Language Pack for Windows 10 preview build 21306 no longer supports Edge Legacy. This means Microsoft plans to drop Edge Legacy support in the upcoming Windows 10 updates. To be precise, Microsoft Edge Legacy is set to receive its last cumulative update in March 2021. After that, it will no longer be supported. At this moment, Microsoft is yet to announce specific dates when Edge Legacy will be completely removed from Windows 10.
It is worth mentioning that underlying technologies used in Edge Legacy will remain in Windows 10 for some time. For example, the EdgeHTML rendering engine is required to keep some UWP/Store apps running. Eventually, EdgeHTML will also be replaced by newer technologies.

Also, it was plagued with bad compatibility and slow updates. Eventually, Microsoft decided to start all over and turn to Chromium. And thus the new Microsoft Edge was born.
A few days ago, Microsoft introduced the feature roadmap for the Edge Chromium app up to version 91 as of now. It includes search and filters, which is much more convenient than previous posts in the insider forum. Check out it HERE.
