Microsoft starts testing a unified game library in the Xbox app for Windows, which will now display games installed from Steam and Battle.net.
This week, Xbox Insider members will be able to try out the new feature. The full release of the combined game library is planned for the end of 2025. It will also be available on new gaming devices, including the ROG Xbox Ally portable gaming consoles.

When a player installs a game from a supported store on PC, it automatically appears in the My Library section of the Xbox app for PC, as well as in the Recent Games list in the sidebar, making it easier than ever to get back into the game, said Manisha Oza, product manager for the Xbox platform. The Xbox app will support more third-party game stores over time, she said.
It's worth noting that in the Xbox app settings, under Library & Extensions, you can hide games from certain third-party stores if you don't want to see them in your unified library.
If you'd like to try out the unified game library in the Xbox app for Windows, you can download the Xbox Insider Hub from the Microsoft Store and join the PC Gaming testing program.
