Microsoft is updating the server side of the Windows Search, so a new weather tile appears for some users. It is displayed right in the search dashboard, borrowing the idea from Cortana.

Windows 10 has a search box in the taskbar, which can be used to perform the search by keyboard or by voice. Once you type something in the search box on the Windows 10 taskbar, search results show but web search results are mixed with local search results, Store apps and content from Bing.
Microsoft used to have Cortana integrated with Search, but in recent Windows 10 builds the company has removed Cortana from system components, and moved it to the Store.
Uninstall and Remove Cortana in Windows 10 version 2004
Windows Search comes with a web backend that mixes your local files with web data. As of Windows 10 version 2004, it is hard to disable this behavior. Microsoft is constantly updating their server-side portion for Windows Search. E.g. with recent changes, you can quickly track the COVID situation from the search dashboard with one click.
Similarly, the company is now rolling out a weather tile, that displays a weather forecast right in the search pane of Windows 10.
The company is trying to make the search adaptive and more useful for the end user. The new addition works as a real-time alternative for the built-in Weather app, which has a Live Tile to display the forecast in the Start menu.
The change is gradually rolling out to Windows 10 users.
On Reddit, the change is generally not welcomed. Most of the comments express the idea that they do not check the weather forecast THAT frequently to have its tile in the search. Others point that they are happy with the info that their smartphone provides, so having it on the PC is redundant.
What's your take on this change? Do you like the idea of having the weather forecast in the Search pane of Windows 10?

I hate the entire search pane. If I want to search the internet I’ll open a damn browser.
Microsoft needs to concentrate on making the desktop search actually able to find things that are on my pc instead of trying to turn it into something it was never intended to be.
