With Windows 11 Build 22635.3500, recently released to the Beta channel, Microsoft has added two new Start menu features. First of all, there is an updated layout of the All Apps view, now with letters for faster navigation. Another change is the new account manager. Here's how to enable them.

The instructions below assume that you have Windows 11 Build 22635.3500 installed, i.e. you are a Beta channel insider.
How to enable the new Account Manager in Start Menu
The new account manager in the Start menu will show you the benefits of your Microsoft account. In particular, it is a dialog that displays information about your Microsoft 365 subscription, the expiration date of your Xbox Game Pass subscription, as well as free space in the OneDrive cloud.
It also moves the the Sign Out and Change User options to a submenu, and also moves the Lock command to the Power menu.
To enable the new Account Manager for the Windows 11 Start menu, do the following.
- Download the ViVeTool utility from this GiHub page .
- Unpack the downloaded archive the c:\ViVeTool folder.
- Open a command prompt as an administrator.
- Now type the command
c:\vivetool\vivetool /enable /id:46892085,48433719
and press Enter. - Make sure that the message “Successfully set feature configuration” appears on the command line, and restart your computer to apply the changes.
Now you have the change enabled in your Windows 11 Build 22635.3500.
The updated app list section
In earlier released in Windows 11 Build 22635.3420, Microsoft introduced a style of the "All apps" list. Now it reminds of what macOS and Gnome on Linux have by default. But the alphabetical index was missing.
Windows 11 Build 22635.3500 restores it back. Now it again allows to click any letter and quickly find the apps listed by that letter.
Like before, you need to run these two commands to enable the new UI:
c:\vivetool\vivetool /enable /id:48433719
c:\vivetool\vivetool /enable /id:47205210 /variant:2
