Almost two decades have passed since the Xbox 360 console was released to the public. But for some reason Microsoft decided to update it.
Reddit users who installed the update on their Xbox 360 consoles noticed a slight visual improvement to the way game covers are displayed. Previously, they often looked stretched and misshapen, whereas now they fit perfectly in the space allotted to them.
There are also two ads on the home screen that encourage users to upgrade to more modern consoles. The first ad shows images of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, while the second includes a QR code that says "Experience next-gen performance. Upgrade today."
