Ghostery is one of the most popular extensions to block trackers on the Internet. While a lot of extensions like ad-blockers provide the same functionality, Ghostery sometimes does it better than others because it is its primary function.
Microsoft Edge is the new default web browser in Windows 10. It is the successor to Internet Explorer 11. According to Microsoft, Edge has better web standards support, is lighter on system resources, more power efficient and is faster at rendering thanks to the new engine which has no legacy code under the hood.
Starting with Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Edge supports browser extensions.
It is great to see that Ghostery has been released for Edge. You can quickly check it out by installing it from the Windows Store.

I prefer Privacy Badger, it does the same job (though arguably with more control over how individual trackers are treated) and it’s made by EFF.
Ghostery has an option called Ghostrank which sells certain telemetry of the types of ads (not which ads) that are blocked to ad companies. They make the claim that it’s to encourage advertisers to be more respectful of consumers, and that may be true but making advertisers a critical source of revenue is a pretty major conflict of interest.
hmm, thanks. very interesting, wasn’t aware about Ghostrank
As far i remember you can untick ghostrank option in ghostery settings.
