As Winaero readers might be knowing, I use Linux too besides Windows. I am always trying out new themes and icons for Linux. Recently I found a distro with a nice icon set called Deepin Linux. I am not a fan of the distro itself, but I like some parts of its appearance. Its folder icons look fresh and beautiful. Here is the icon set "Deepin-lite" that I made to use those folder icons in any GTK+ desktop environment.
The original "Deepin" icon set was with nice blue icons for user folders and green icons for other folders. Additionally, the icon set offers a number of symbolic icons and mime type icons. However, the recently updated version of Deepin icons looks like this:
The Deepin-lite icon set is based on one of the previous versions of Deepin icons. It comes with nicer icons for folders. Instead of Flattr, which is notably incomplete, I made it inherit the popular Moka and Faba icon sets. Also, I replaced the green "default" folder used in previous Deepin icons with a clear blue icon. The result is as follows:
It is using folders and symbolic icons from the original Deepin icon set. The rest of the icons such as mime types, action icons etc are borrowed from Moka and Faba.
To get it working, do the following.
That's it. All credits go to respective authors. I have only edited the theme file and mixed some icons.
