According to the official documentation, the rollout of Windows 11 2022 Update is now entered a "new phase" with more users getting it. The company offers it via what it calls "seeker experience", so the user must open the Settings app, check for update, and agree to install the latest release.

Following its initial plan, the Redmond firm has published a guide on how to build a custom widget for Windows 11. Interestingly that there is no single word on when exactly third-party widgets will be available to users.

With the release of Windows 11 2022 Update, version 22H2, Microsoft has postponed several features to October. So Microsoft started testing them right now. Ahead of the official release of the "Moment 1" update, Microsoft pushed those features to Release Preview channel Insiders with Windows 11 22H2 Build 22621.608 (KB5017389).

One more bug affects the newly released Windows 11 2022 Update, version 22H2. When copying large files from a network share, the operation can perform really slow. A large (multi-gigabyte) file can have up to 40% less throughput compared to SMB when copying (reading).

With Windows 11 2022 Update, Microsoft updated the inbox screenshot app, with the ability to save screenshots automatically. One may find this new behavior useful, but for some it is annoying. If the new feature doesn't fit your workflow, you can easily disable it.

Microsoft has issued the first cumulative update for the brand new Windows 11 version 22H2. The KB5017389 patch is currently available as an optional update for those who run "Windows 11 2022 Update." It comes with several fixes, and also adds enhancements like Widgets notifications, reliability updates for the Microsoft Store,  improvements for daylight saving time Chile, and more.

The newest release, Windows 11 version 22H2, reportedly has a number of confirmed issues with printers. For some users it removed all network printers, and for others it eliminates most of the printer's functionality.

With the Dev channel build 25211 Microsoft re-introduced the ability to drag-n-drop icons in the system tray on the taskbar. However, this novelty is not available to everyone. The company is rolling out it gradually, starting with a small group of users. Luckily, it is easy to activate this feature manually.

Besides the new Dev channel build that restores Task Manager in the taskbar context menu, Microsoft has released two builds to Insiders in the Beta channel. Build 22623.730 has  new features, and Build 22621.730 comes with new features disabled by default. Both builds are released as the KB5017385 cumulative update.
