Windows 11 Build 23506 (Dev) is out with new Outlook, Copilot, new Emoji, and more

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Build 23506 to Windows Insiders on the Dev channel. The update includes Unsafe password copy and paste warnings, new Passwordless experience with Windows Hello for Business, Local File Sharing improvements, and new Outlook as an inbox app. You will also find Windows Copilot Preview, updated color font format for emojis, Voice Access on the lock screen, and improved backup and restore options.  The new home page in the Settings app has been temporarily disabled due to a stability bug. Two additional recommendations have been added to the Power & Battery section in Settings. Finally, there are ISO images for this build that are available for download here.

YouTube has got a new Stable Volume feature to normalize the sound

YouTube now has a new feature called "Stable Volume." It appears under video settings. While it doesn't have a prominent description as of this writing, it must be a normalizer and compressor. Such a feature normalizes the sound volume for entire video, so you don't face big volume jumps for sound events.

Release Preview Channel is now getting new Windows 11 and 10 builds

Microsoft just released three new builds to Insiders running Windows 11 and Windows 10 in the Release Preview channel. Windows 11 Build 22621.2066 (KB5028254) is available to those who have version 22H2 installed, while the original Windows 11 release users receive Windows 11 Build 22000.2243 (KB5028245). Finally, Windows 10 users are getting Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.3269 (KB5028244).

Now Official: Windows 11 version 23H2 will be a small enablement package

You may remember rumors telling that Windows 11 version 23H2 will be a small update to version 22H2, similar to how Windows 10 has received its last three updates. Today, Microsoft confirmed this information in the published roadmap for client versions of Windows. The updated roadmap should help users and organizations plan upgrades to new versions of the operating system, and sheds some light on the future of Windows 11 Version 23H2 and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 with Volume Licensing.

Windows 11 Beta Build 22631.2048 adds File Explorer Gallery and new Store

Two new Windows 11 builds are now available to insiders on the Beta channel. Windows 11 Build 22631.2048 adds the Gallery section to File Explorer, and a new Store with AI Hub. Its counterpart, build 22621.2048, comes with these features disabled by default.

Windows 11 Build 25905 (Canary) comes with several new features

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25905 is now available to Insiders on the Canary channel. Additionally, Microsoft provides ISO images for this build for those who would like to install it from scratch. With this release, the company switches back to the RS_PRERELEASE branch of code. So many of the features that were earlier removed after switching to ZN_RELEASE will return. Windows 11 Build 25905 build includes new features from the Dev Channel, such as Dev Drive, Backup and Restore improvements (Windows Backup), Dynamic Lighting, the Windows App SDK version of File Explorer and Gallery, and more.
