Microsoft will drop customer support for Windows 10 21H2 on June 11, 2024
On March 12, 2024, Microsoft announced that it would discontinue support for Windows 10 Enterprise, Education, and IoT Enterprise version 21H2 on June 11, 2024. After this date, updates and security patches for older versions of the operating system will no longer be provided. Support for the Windows 10 21H2 version for regular users had already ended in June 2023.
Windows February 2024 Updates kill the taskbar
Some users experienced the taskbar disappearing or crashing after installing the Windows 10 KB5034763 and Windows 11 KB5034765 February 2024 updates . Microsoft is investigating reports of the issue.
The Release Preview Insider channel receives new Windows 11 and 10 builds
Microsoft has updated the Release Preview channel with new builds for both Windows 11 and Windows 10 users. Windows 11 is getting KB5034848, Build 22621.3227 (22H2) and 22631.3227 (23H2). Windows 10 is getting Build 19045.4116 (22H2, KB5034843).

Windows 10 users report apps don’t start after January updates
After installing the January updates from Microsoft, Windows 10 users with older processors, such as Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon, faced a significant issue. Numerous applications on their PCs stopped working, including "Photos," "Calculator," "Movies and TV," and "Feedback Hub." Whenever users attempted to launch these inbox programs, they were greeted with an error message stating: "File system error (-2147219196)."
How to enable new weather on Windows 10 Lock Screen
Starting in KB5034203, Windows 10 version 22H2 includes a new weather forecast widget to the lock screen. The patch is an optional "preview" update, meaning that you have to install it manually, or wait a little before it becomes available as a mandatory Patch Tuesday release. It raises the OS version to Build 19045.3996. While the new weather option is rolling out gradually with this release, you can get it enabled right now.
Windows 11’s Weather widget is coming to Windows 10 Lock Screen
Microsoft has backported the improved Weather widget on the Lock screen from Windows 11 to Windows 10. The latest Release Preview update for Windows 10, Build 19045.3992, KB5034203, includes an announcement for this addition in its changelog.
