In Windows 10, you can pin individual pages of the Settings app to the Start menu. This will allow you to access your frequently used settings/pages of Settings faster. In this article, we will see how it can be done.

Settings is a Universal app bundled with Windows 10. It is created to replace the classic Control Panel for both touch screen users and mouse and keyboard Desktop users. It consists of several pages which bring new options to configure Windows 10 along with some older options inherited from the classic Control Panel. In every release, Windows 10 is getting more and more classic options converted to a modern page in the Settings app. At some point, Microsoft might remove the classic Control Panel completely.
It is possible to pin any settings page from the Settings app to the Start menu. To learn how it works, follow this simple tutorial.
To pin Settings to the Start menu in Windows 10, do the following.
- Open the Start menu and click the Settings item:Alternatively, you can press Win + I shortcut keys together on your keyboard to open the Settings app quickly.
- The Settings app will appear on the screen.
- Open any setting you want to pin, for example, let it be the "System -> Display" page:
- On the left, right-click the "Display" item. The "Pin to Start" context menu will appear:
- Click on the Pin to Start command and confirm the operation.
The Display page will appear pinned to the Start menu. See the following screenshot. - Repeat the step above for all settings you want to pin to the Start screen.
You are done.
Note: It is possible to pin categories of Settings to the Start menu. You can right click the desired root category you see of the main page of Settings and select Pin to Start from the context menu.The result will be as follows:
Here is how to unpin pinned settings.
To Unpin pinned settings, you have two options:
- Right click the pinned item in the Start menu and choose "Unpin from Start":
- Alternatively, you can right-click the pinned section in the Settings app and select Unpin from Start as shown below:
- Right click the pinned item in the Start menu and choose "Unpin from Start":
