As you might be knowing, Skype's Metro app comes bundled with Windows 10. Recently, Microsoft introduced its companion app called Messaging. Now Microsoft has rolled out updates for Skype, Messaging, People and Video apps which refine the look of those apps.
The version changed from 1.11.19004.0 to 2.12.9011.0, however, the Windows Store listing does not provide any change log. Users who had the apps installed spotted several changes in these apps.
There are a few UI changes in "phablet mode" such as larger contact pictures and an indicator for active message threads. Additionally, users can now send animated emojis using the Messaging app for Skype.
The same changes also arrived for the People app, which now comes with a smaller AppBar and individual refresh buttons for each contact. Its version changed from 3351 to 3451.
These updates will arrive for Windows users in different countries at different times, so don't be surprised if your Windows 10 did not get them yet. They should come soon. You can check the following links manually:
