With Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, Microsoft introduced its vision for the future of user interface design. The company started to add more and more Fluent Design elements to its own first-party apps, including the Start menu, Calculator, Maps, Store, Settings and Groove Music. A new version of Groove Music got more elements of Fluent Design in the UI.
The revamped UI has landed in the Fast Ring of build 16251 with the configured "Skip Ahead" feature. Skip Ahead is a special option in Settings which allows Insiders to receive updates from early "Redstone 4" branches of Windows 10, even before the Fall Creators Update (Redstone 3) reaches the production branch. This cool setting makes your Fast Ring blazingly fast. As we covered earlier, Insiders receive app Store updates from RS_PRERELEASE if Skip Ahead is used.
The OnMSFT web site got their hands on the most recent Groove Music app from Redstone 4, which introduced a number of new animations and cool visual effects to the user interface. The image below demonstrates them in action. The updated app is on the right.
Tip: You can disable Fluent Design visual effects in Windows 10.
They have also found a new feature, "Visualizers", but it doesn't work yet. It is quite possible that the app will get music visualizations similar to Windows Media Player, but this is only a guess.
