  1. I also had to remove a rogue item from %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo before the other links would show – so if you already see the “zip” and “desktop” shortcuts in the folder, but they don’t show in the context menu, look at the items that do show and see if removing one of those helps.

  2. As an alternative to this – running the following from a CMD prompt should fix you up:

    copy “C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo\Compressed (zipped) folder.ZFSendToTarget” “%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo\” /y

  3. Following a suggestion from Dec. 15, 2015 post in the Microsoft Community, I removed an extraneous 0 byte “Bluetooth” rogue item from %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo and Compressed File option started to show up again for me when I right click.

  4. Thank you. With the screenshots it was helpful. I have noticed the winzip was under hidden folder and hence it was not showing up. Thank you for the screenshots.
