The Microsoft Bing team has announced that their chatbot will soon be launched on mobile devices and will also be supported by alternative browsers.
The developers are actively working on optimizing Bing to ensure cross-browser compatibility. However, they still recommend using Bing in Microsoft Edge as it offers unrestricted functionality.

In other browsers like Chrome, the chatbot currently supports only five messages in a conversation instead of 30, with a character limit of 2000 instead of 3000. In Edge, users have access to longer conversations, chat history, and other Bing features integrated directly into the browser.
Currently, the chatbot is only available on Edge and the Bing mobile app.
The developers have also mentioned plans to introduce plug-ins in the future and further enhance its existing capabilities. There will be a number of exciting features, including Multimodal Visual Search and Dark Mode.
With Multimodal Visual Search, you can now use images as input in Chat. Whether it's a photo you've taken or found online, you can prompt Bing Chat with related questions about the image. Bing Chat can understand the context, interpret the image, and provide answers to your queries. For instance, you can ask about the architecture of a building you've photographed or get lunch ideas by taking a picture of the contents of your fridge.
Dark Mode is another notable addition, offering a battery-saving and eye-friendly display option. It is now available in both Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise on desktop browsers and the Bing mobile app. This feature was highly requested by users, and the team is pleased to deliver it.
Additionally, Bing Chat Enterprise brings the power of AI to the workplace. This new search experience provides AI-powered chat capabilities with verifiable answers, citations, and enhanced commercial data protection. With Bing Chat Enterprise, user and business data remain protected within the organization, ensuring confidentiality and preventing leaks.
Previously, we reported that the Bing chatbot can work in Chrome and Safari but with limitations on the number and length of requests.
