Recently, Microsoft released Windows 11 build 26058 to Insiders in the Dev and Canary channel. One of the new features in this update is new Widgets pane. It now supports tabs (navigation pane), and provides more room for hosting widgets. Only a small number of users see this change due to a gradual roll-out, but you can enable it right now.

The Release Preview Insider channel receives new Windows 11 and 10 builds
Microsoft has updated the Release Preview channel with new builds for both Windows 11 and Windows 10 users. Windows 11 is getting KB5034848, Build 22621.3227 (22H2) and 22631.3227 (23H2). Windows 10 is getting Build 19045.4116 (22H2, KB5034843).
Microsoft officially announced Build 2024 to be held from May 21 to 23
The Microsoft Developers account on X* has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated annual developer conference, Build 2024, is set to take place from May 21 to 23.
Windows 11 Build 26058 (Dev/Can) improves File Explorer, Ease of Access, Widgets, and more
Microsoft has released a new preview of Windows 11, Build 26058, to Insiders in the Dev and Canary channels. Insiders on the Canary channel will receive build 26058.1000, while the Dev channel has been released build 26058.1100 (KB5036078). The features are completely identical for both updates, Microsoft is just testing different distribution methods of the OS. Finally, the ISO images are also available.
Microsoft’s Sudo has sparked resentment in the open source community
A few days ago Microsoft has officially announced the inbox sudo for Windows app. It allows running apps as administrator from the command prompt, but in a different way than the Linux app of the same name. The open source community didn't appreciate Microsoft's release, and they actually have a reason.

You can now enable tab previews in Firefox, so when you hover over a tab, its preview thumbnail will appear as a tip card. The feature is already available in the Firefox browser's nightly builds.
Chrome is testing automatic micropayments for site monetization
Google Chrome developers are reportedly working on automatic micropayments for site monetization (Web Monetization), which will allow you to automatically pay to site owners for viewing their content. The transactions are assumed to be quiet and done without a confirmation from the user. Google considers this as a good alternative to ads on websites.

Version 1.62.1, issued on February 15, adds four more fixes. The following options were incorrectly reporting their "enabled" status and appeared unchecked when you open the appropriate page.

* Boot and logon > Disable Lock Screen
* Context menus > Unblock downloaded files

Cumulative updates for Windows 11/10, February 13, 2024
Microsoft has released a new portion of cumulative updates for all supported operating systems. Such updates do not bring with them drastic changes, as their goal is to close vulnerabilities and improve reliability. In some cases, Microsoft ships with them minor improvements to usability.
Sudo for Windows 11 actually runs on Windows 10 and Windows 7
It is not for only Windows 11: The recently announced Sudo tool for Windows has been successfully installed in Windows 10 and even in aged Windows 7. And it does its work without issues. The only missing thing is configuration options in the settings app. But the sudo tool can be configured from the command line.
