Winaero Tweaker 0.14 is out
Winaero Tweaker 0.14 is here. I am happy to announce that this release features a number of usability improvements and bug fixes. Also, it comes with 16 new features. The installer now supports silent setup options which are useful for deployment and unattended installations.
Winaero Tweaker
Winaero Tweaker is a free app for all versions of Windows that lets you adjust (i.e. tweak) hidden secret settings that Microsoft does not let you adjust from the user interface. In addition, it allows you to add extra value to existing Windows apps and tools with advanced context menus, options, and handy commands.
It is a powerful system utility that supports Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 11 and includes hundreds of settings. It also includes many options that were earlier available exclusively in my standalone applications.

Add Secure Delete Context Menu in Windows 10
When you delete files in Windows, they can be easily recovered. Windows only marks the file as deleted, but physically the files stay on the hard drive until they are overwritten by new data. Although on an SSD, they are harder to recover than hard drives because of TRIM and garbage collection done by the SSD controller, all of the deleted data is not securely wiped by default. If you deleted some sensitive data and want to be sure that it cannot be recovered before you give your PC away temporarily for whatever reason, here is how to add a special 'Secure Delete' context menu entry.

Disable Online Speech Recognition with Group Policy in Windows 10
Windows provides both a device-based speech recognition feature (available through the Windows Speech Recognition Desktop app), and a cloud-based speech recognition service in those markets and regions where Cortana is available. Microsoft may use the voice data collected on your computer to help improve their speech services. Windows 10 allows disabling Online Speech Recognition with a Group Policy. In this article, we will review how to apply the restriction using both gpedit.msc and a Registry tweak.
