Microsoft today released the first stable version of Microsoft Edge. Build 79.0.309.65 can be downloaded from Microsoft's official web site. However, that web site hosts online installers in the form of a regular executable file (.exe). If you are looking for an MSI installer, you need to visit a different page.

The Redmond software giant has decided to follow Chrome's support schedule for Windows 7. As you may remember, Google promised to support the retired OS for at least 18 months, until July 15th 2021.
Google Drops Third Party Site Cookies and User Agent from Chrome
Google today revealed a couple of changes that will be done to Google Chrome in the future. The browser will prevent sites from managing third-party cookies, e.g. from setting the cookie trackers which spy on users over the Internet. Also, Google wants to drop the User Agent line to stop differentiating browsers by it. The company offers an alternative, which instead will briefly report supported features and capabilities.
