Microsoft has started testing a simplified version of the Microsoft Lists service. It is now available for consumers and small businesses. Currently, only 200,000 users can register for Microsoft Lists - MSA Preview. Earlier Microsoft Lists was only available to Microsoft 365 subscribers.

Edge allows setting Bing Video of the day as the New Tab Page background
The New Tab Page in Microsoft Edge now allows you to set Bing's video of the day in a loop instead of a static background image. There is also a pause button to stop video playback at any time.

Google is again testing Tab Muting in the Chrome browser
A few years ago, Google was about to add the tab muting feature to Chrome. The implementation was very simple. To mute a tab, you could click the speaker icon next to the tab's title. The option didn't come to the stable branch, perhaps due to the addition of Global Media Controls. But now, Tab Muting has returned to Chrome.
How to Restore File Download Prompt in Firefox
You can restore the file download prompt in Mozilla Firefox, which is disabled by default starting in Firefox 97. The browser now directly fetches the file from the Internet once you click its download link. It will only show a notification at the top of its window, similar to how it works in Chrome and Edge.

Google is about to replace its controversial FLoC with Topics
As you may remember, recently Google introduced a new user tracking technology called FLoC as a replacement for classic cookies. The technology has been criticized by major browser vendors. Still, Mozilla, Vivaldi, Brave, and other browsers aren't going to implement FloC. So Google is here with a different solution called Topics API.
Windows 11-style overlay scrollbars are coming to Google Chrome
Microsoft is about to contribute the overlay scrollbars style they implemented in Edge to the underlying Chromium project. Once the patch will be accepted, Chrome on Windows will get scrollbars that go well with the appearance of Windows 11.
