Microsoft Phone Link now supports OCR for your Android images

The new version of Microsoft Phone Link will allow users to select and copy text from images synced with Android smartphones. The feature has already appeared in Release Preview Insider builds and will soon be available to everyone.

Windows 11 Build 22635.3646 preinstalls PC Manager app if you are in China

Microsoft has released a new preview of Windows 11 (version 23H2), build 22635.3646 (KB5037858) to Windows Insiders on the Beta channel. Besides the good list of fixes, it pre-installs the PC Manager app for insiders in China.

Microsoft will end support for VBScript in the second half of 2024

Microsoft announced that it is ending support for the VBScript scripting language. The company will begin phasing it out in the second half of 2024.

Automatic Super Resolution will be exclusive to Snapdragon X Elite devices

The newest feature of Windows 11 24H2, Automatic Super Resolution, will apparently be available only Copilot+ devices powered by Snapdragon X Elite. Support for the classic x86 platform, and older Snapdragon X Plus chips has not yet been announced.

Windows 11 24H2 is now available in the Release Preview channel

Microsoft just made Windows 11 version 24H2 available to Insiders. Build 26100.712 is now an optional update for those who run the OS in the Release Preview channel. So you can manually check for updates in Windows Update and opt-in to install this new feature update.

PowerToys 0.81 include a new AI-powered Advanced Paste feature

The new update of the PowerToys utility for Windows (version 0.81) introduced the Advanced Paste function, which allows you to quickly convert the contents of the clipboard using artificial intelligence. For example, developers will be able to copy source code in one language and paste it at the desired location in another language.
