Microsoft starts rolling out a fresh update to the Your Phone app that brings additional controls over your smartphone. In addition to the status indicators, which include the battery level, cellular signal strength, and Wi-Fi icons, you can now access Quick Settings directly from the app. Similar to control center apps smartphones have, there are four new toggles above the app's main menu, enabling you to turn on or off Do Not Disturb, Silent mode, or Bluetooth, and launch the default music app.
With these new toggles, the Your Phone app offers even more features, giving you more control over a smartphone without touching it. The update is slowly rolling out to the public, so it may take some time to reach your device. Be on the lookout to version 1.21012.195.0 or newer. We should also point out that new controls are available to all Your Phone-compatible smartphones, not only those from Samsung.
You can use the Your Phone app to receive and reply to notifications from a phone on a PC, make calls, send text messages, browse contacts, photos, and even launch several Android apps simultaneously. However, the latter is available only for a limited list of devices from Samsung. As for iPhone, imposed by Apple limitations do not allow Microsoft to create similar experiences for iOS. A long time ago, Microsoft promised to negotiate this question with Apple, but the company had little to no luck trying to befriend Your Phone with iOS (and probably never will).
