Microsoft is working on a new Windows Store update which will include a slightly revamped user interface. The most notable changes can be spotted in the the header section of the Windows Store app.
The updated app version is version 11701.1000.80. Here is how it looks.
A new ellipsis menu is introduced in the current update. In that menu, you will find links to Downloads & Updates section, the app's settings and all the general app pages. The menu also has a more obvious light border.
Windows Store now comes with a special section for the user account options available in the header. So, the app's settings and the user account settings are now separated from each other.
There were no other new features or options found in the Store app, so the changes affect only the user interface.
Another change that can be found in the user interface is a different color of the dark theme. It has changed from a completely black color to the lighter gray color.
It’s not known yet when the updated Store app will be rolled out to the stable branch of Windows 10. It most likely should happen this fall with the release of Windows 10 version 1709.
