Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0 available in Beta Channel

Microsoft has released a new version of the Windows Feature Experience Pack  to Insiders running Windows 10 in the Beta channel. It comes with one improvement made to reliability of screen snipping. However, it no longer includes the capability to copy and paste a screen snip directly into a folder in File Explorer.

The company noted the following:

  • We are improving the reliability of screen snipping experience, especially with apps that access the clipboard often.

As for the direct screenshot paste feature removal, the company said that they have found some "issue discovered thanks to the feedback from Windows Insiders.". It should return in the near future.

in order to receive this update, you must be running Windows 10 in the Beta Channel. Windows 10, version 20H2, Build 19042.662 or higher is required.

You can always check can check the installed Windows Feature Experience Pack version by opening Settings > System > About.

Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel can go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates to receive the Windows Feature Experience Pack update. This time, they are getting
