Looks like someone forgot to adjust the settings for version Windows 11 22H2. So the update offer to appeared on unsupported devices, i.e. on devices that don't meet minimum hardware requirements.
Users report that they see the offer even on aged devices from 2014 and 2008(!). Surprisingly, the installation process completes successfully, without any errors. The OS is working perfectly fine.
The day before, Microsoft released Windows 11 version 22H2, build 22621, to Windows Insider program participants on the Release Preview channel. It is one step closer to the public release of the new version of the OS. Microsoft will officially announce it this fall.
But the Release Preview channel also has a number of devices not eligible for receiving Windows 11. These devices kept running Windows 10 until today. Now, many of these devices have successfully upgraded to Windows 11, version 22H2.
The Windows Insider team has already made an announcement that this behavior is a bug.
It's a bug and the right team is investigating it. Thanks for notifying.

In the same thread, they said that the system requirements for Windows 11 have not changed. So, this unplanned upgrade will be fixed in the near future. This also means that your device will most likely not receive upcoming security patches and cumulative updates.
If you have installed Windows 11 using this upgrade offer and aren't happy with the result, you have 10 days to return back to Windows 10. For reference, you can use this detailed guide on how to roll back Windows 11.

Oh what a tragedy. It’s almost like these requirements are completely arbitrary.
This is what most users think :-)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Anyone needed one more proof that these requirements were completely arbitrary, and were there to drive up PC sales? Here you have it! :P
Good news for those who don’t have budget or have time to upgrade their PC, but bad news for MS.
Not stonks for $MSFT
