Microsoft has released Windows 11 Build 27982 to Insiders using the Canary channel. It adds widgets to the Lock Screen, multiple widget dashboards, advanced Sharing options like simplified dialog with app selector, and more. Here are the details.

Note: Recently, the branch name from which builds are released changed to BR_RELEASE. This is due to internal operating system development cycles. The Windows Insider team treats these builds the same as builds from the RS_PRERELEASE branch. However, due to the branch change, some features have been temporarily removed from Windows 11 Insider builds. Microsoft plans to bring them back in the future. BR_RELEASE builds do not represent any feature update for Windows 11.
New features
Lock screen
Lock screen widgets have been updated. You can now add, remove, and rearrange widgets like Weather, Sports, Traffic, and more. Microsoft will also now recommend additional widgets so you can discover something new. Any widget that supports the shrink widget feature can be added to the lock screen. To customize your lock screen widgets, go to Settings > Personalization > Lock Screen.
Note: This feature is rolling out gradually, so it may not be available to all Insiders in the Canary channel.

Added support for multiple dashboards
It will give you more space to display your favorite widgets. You can also stay up-to-date with current events thanks to the news feed.

Simplified file sharing.
Microsoft is introducing a new way to quickly and easily share files. When you drag and drop a local file from File Explorer or the desktop using your mouse or touchscreen, a dedicated area will appear at the top of the screen with a list of apps you can share the file with. Selecting "More" (...) opens the familiar Share dialog box.

- Fixed an issue that caused Visio to hang when interacting with an IME.
- Fixed an issue seen in previous Canary builds on ARM64 devices that resulted in an error message when launching certain games: "The game ended with error code 0x0."
- Fixed an issue where the explorer.exe process could constantly hang when using the PC for a long time without restarting.
- Fixed an issue where text might not display correctly when attempting to edit content in a multi-line text field in some apps in recent flights.
