Changes and improvements

  • This update includes a small number of improvements and fixes designed to improve the overall operating system experience.
  • You can now drag-and-drop files between path fragments in the breadcrumbs in the Explorer address bar.

Fixes

  • Taskbar: Flashing app icons on the taskbar are now easier to spot.
  • File Explorer now has a thin border for the selection area to make it easier for you to see if folders or files are highlighted.
  • Fixed an issue due to which, in previous builds, some Insiders experienced a crash in Explorer when going to the Home page.
  • Notifications: The prompt to disable notifications for certain applications will now appear after a longer period of inactivity with app notifications.
  • Fixed an issue where opening Settings in Windows Sandbox would show the option to check for Windows updates, but the Windows Update page would be unavailable.

Known Issues

  • [Important Note] Microsoft is investigating reports that some Insiders in the Dev and Canary channels are stuck on build 26040 or 23620. If you want to upgrade to the latest build, you can download the official ISO image and perform a clean install of the system to continue receiving new builds for Dev and Canary channels.
  • Working to fix an issue that causes colors in the Performance section of the Task Manager to display incorrectly when using the dark theme.
