Taskbar and system tray
- Microsoft has added an internet speed test feature that can be accessed directly from the taskbar. It can be launched from the quick actions menu under "Wi-Fi & Cellular" or by right-clicking the network connection icon in the system tray. Changes and improvements

Emoji 16.0
- Emoji support for Windows 16.0 has been temporarily disabled. It will be returned in future builds.
Voice access
- A new "Wait before performing an action" setting has been added, allowing users to adjust the delay before executing a voice command. This provides greater flexibility for users with different speech characteristics. The setting can be found under "Voice Access Settings" > "Wait before performing an action . "
Fixes
General
- Fixed an issue resulting in some screen readers stopping reading content after updating to previous builds.
Click to Do (Preview)
- Fixed an issue where Click to Do could be unexpectedly invoked by a Win + P keyboard shortcut on Copilot+ PCs.
Taskbar and system tray
- Fixed an issue where in previous builds the battery icon might not sync with the actual charging state (for example, showing the device as not plugged in when it wasn't).
File Explorer
- Fixed an issue where folder view settings (such as sorting by name or icon size) would only apply to a specific navigation path. If the same folder was opened from another application (such as a browser), the settings would not be saved and would have to be reapplied. This was particularly noticeable in the Downloads folder if date grouping was disabled.
Login and Lock Screen
- Fixed an issue where media controls might not appear on the lock screen even when playing content in an app that supports those controls.
Windows Update
- Fixed an issue where using the "Update and shut down" option would not shut down the PC.
Settings
- Fixed an issue that caused the Settings app to crash when attempting to access disk information under Settings > System > Storage. This also affected access to disk information through the Properties dialog box accessed by right-clicking a disk in File Explorer.
- Fixed an issue where placeholder text in the search field in Settings could be vertically offset.

Fixes
Networking
- Fixed an issue that prevented you from accessing network resources that use the legacy SMBv1 protocol using NetBIOS over TCP/IP ( NetBT ).
For developers
- Fixed an issue where the PIX on Windows utility was unable to play GPU recordings on this OS version. This issue was resolved in the new version of PIX released last week.
Video playback
- Fixed an issue that affected playback of protected content in some Blu-ray, DVD, and digital TV applications using the Enhanced Video Renderer with HDCP.
Known issues
Click to Do
- Launching Click to Do on the primary display using a swipe from the right edge causes visual effects to appear on the other display. This issue is being investigated.
Taskbar
- New animations for taskbar app thumbnails have been temporarily disabled because they interfere with the "Share Window" feature, which is located in the thumbnail window. The company will notify you when the animations are back in place.
- There are some issues that arose after changes in previous builds when the "Auto-hide the taskbar" option was enabled, including the unexpected appearance of the system tray. Working on a fix.
Search
- Some search queries may cause unexpected text to be displayed instead of the expected results and images.
Windows Studio Effects
- For some types of external webcams, enabling the "Use Windows Studio Effects" option in the camera's advanced settings may cause the preview to fail. This is due to a camera firmware compatibility issue and will be fixed in future updates. If you encounter this issue, disable Windows Studio Effects in the camera's settings.
Xbox Controllers
- Some Insiders have encountered an issue where using an Xbox controller via Bluetooth causes a bug check. To resolve this, open Device Manager and select View > Devices by Driver. Find the driver named "oemXXX.inf (XboxGameControllerDriver.inf)" in the list, where "XXX" is the device number on your computer. Right-click it and select Uninstall.
