Changes and improvements

Windows Studio Effects

Windows Studio Effects offers AI-powered camera and audio enhancements on devices with a neural processing unit (NPU). Studio Effects is currently accessible via the Quick Settings menu in the system tray of the taskbar. To further enhance convenience, Microsoft has added a special icon to the system tray that will appear when using any camera app that supports Studio Effects. Clicking the icon will open the Studio Effects page in Quick Settings. Additionally, hovering over the icon will display a tooltip with the name of the app using the camera.

Dynamic Lighting

If compatible devices are not connected, the Dynamic Lighting page in Settings will display placeholder text and the brightness and effects controls will be disabled.

The Dynamic Lighting settings page now has direction options for the Wave effect - Forward, Backward, Outward, or Inward. The Gradient effect now has the option to select Forward.
