Windows 11 Build 23565 (Dev) changes the Copilot icon

The newly released Windows 11 Build 23565 for the Dev channel insiders comes with a few changes. Besides traditional set of fixes, it changes the Copilot icon to a more colorful one. It also sets Windows Spotlight as a desktop background for some select Insiders. Here is the detailed changelog.

What's new in Windows 11 Build 23565 (Dev)

  • Copilot for Windows has a new icon on the taskbar.Copilot New Icon
  • As an experiment, Windows Spotlight will now default to the desktop background when Insiders has one of the system background images selected. For now, this change will only be seen by some Insiders on the Dev channel.

Fixes

  • Fixed several issues affecting the stability of Explorer.
  • Fixed a major issue that could cause OneDrive users to experience File Explorer windows freezing.
  • If you have a large number of images added to the Gallery section, the page will now display a loading indicator. Previously, a blank page was displayed.

Note. Some of the fixes listed above may be included in cumulative updates for release versions of Windows 11.

Known Issues

  • Some apps in the Start menu's All Apps list (for example, PWA apps installed through Microsoft Edge) may appear as system apps when they are not.
  • Some Insiders using Dev Channel builds in regions where Copilot for Windows is in preview may notice that Copilot for Windows has disappeared from the taskbar. Microsoft is working to fix the problem.
  • When you first launch or after updating Copilot, when using Voice Access, you must use the Show grid command to then move to the Ask me anything field.
