Windows 11 Build 22631.5982 (RP) improves system stability

Microsoft has released Windows 11 (version 23H2) Build 22631.5982 to the Release Preview channel insiders. It comes via the KB5065790 patch and includes some stability and quality-of-life improvements. Here are the details.

Authentication

  • Fixed an issue where the Windows sign-in screen became unresponsive after entering the SIM PIN when signing in using a mobile broadband connection.

Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA)

  • Updated Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA) profiles for some mobile operators.

Graphic subsystem

  • Addresses an issue affecting display configuration changes during Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) sessions with multiple monitors. The system may unexpectedly exit when disconnected from the dock while streaming.

Input

  • Fixed an issue where some characters were displayed incorrectly when using the Chinese Input Method Editor (IME).
  • Fixed an issue where certain Chinese characters would appear as empty squares in some text fields (such as in  the Connection Manager Administration Kit ) when a character limit was set.

Printers

  • Fixed an issue where viewing the print queue for a shared printer in the Settings app would cause the print queue UI to crash.

System services

  • Fixed an issue where the McpManagement service was displayed without a description.
