Windows 10 Build 19045.5435 is out to the Release Preview channel

Windows 10 Build 19045.5435 is now available in the Release Preview Channel with KB5050081. It ships several new features to Windows 11 22H2. Here are the details.

Calendar

The Calendar app now provides weather forecasts and information about upcoming holidays and events.

Default mail app

The new Outlook for Windows is now the default mail client, and a new icon appears in the Start menu. Existing pins on the taskbar will be updated accordingly.

Bug Fixes

  • Addresses a virtual memory issue that could cause some apps to crash.

     

  • Near Field Communication (NFC) readers now reliably read card Universal Unique Identifiers (UUIDs) even after multiple scans in point-of-sale (POS) apps.

     

  • [USB Print and IPP Over USB]  Fixes an issue that prevented the printer from initializing during the spooler process.

     

  • [Chinese Pinyin Input Method Editor (IME)] Bing will stop providing automatic suggestions in the search bar for search engine sites like Baidu. To get manual suggestions, use Ctrl + Tab or the chevron button (>).
  • Fixed an issue where the Capture Service and Snipping Tool would stop responding when pressing Windows logo key + Shift + S repeatedly while Narrator was running.

Security Updates

The Windows Kernel Vulnerable Driver Blocklist file (DriverSiPolicy.p7b) has been updated to include drivers susceptible to Bring Your Own Vulnerable Driver (BYOVD) attacks.
