Winaero Tweaker 0.4.0.2 is out

I am happy to announce Winaero Tweaker 0.4.0.2. This minor release brings major changes to the app's user interface and usability. Let's see what is new in this release.

For this version, I was focused on two things: search and bookmarks. Due to this plan, Winaero Tweaker 0.4.0.2 got a reworked toolbar with a search text field and additional buttons.

I added the ability to add your favorite tweaks to bookmarks. To add the currently opened tweak page to bookmarks, press the button with the yellow star and a green plus icon. The button will remain pressed whenever that page is selected, which means that the currently opened page is bookmarked. You will find your bookmarks under the Home category. The yellow star toolbar button will allow you to open it quickly.

The next user interface improvement is the Search feature. Just type a few letters of the page name you see in the left pane inside the search text field, and it will instantly find for you all the matching tweaks!

You can take the focus to the search field using the Ctrl + F shortcut keys.

I moved the "Reset default" button from the bottom of the app's window to the toolbar and renamed it "Reset this page to defaults", which should be less confusing for all users.

I also added the ability to turn on bigger icons in the left pane. You can turn on big icons from the Settings dialog:

The bug with icon colors is also fixed. For some users, some icons were appearing in 16-bit color mode. It is a bug in the C# component that I use to store icons, so I applied a workaround. This issue should not return any more.

The Enter key now opens selected items in the "Category" view. I had forgotten to code this ability. Now it is implemented.

Also, I made the following small changes besides user interface improvements:

Now it is possible to remove the "Removable drives" item from the navigation pane in Windows 10.

A new tweak will allow you to prevent Windows from blocking downloaded files from the Internet. This will save your time and you won't have to deal with SmartScreen and UAC. This tweak works in all supported operating systems:
