A beta version of the new WhatsApp app for Windows 10 and 11 is now available on Microsoft Store. It is a full-fledged UWP app that looks cool and stylish thanks to an acrylic blur and other modern effects. It supports background notifications and handwriting using a touchscreen or stylus.
WhatsApp Beta also allows you to enable or disable the app auto-start, manage privacy, archive and delete chats, change the notification sound, and define what media types from chats should be downloaded automatically.
Note that you still need to scan the QR code from the Android application to sign in. So it works similar to the existing Web version of WhatsApp.

Telegram remains the most feature-rich and useful alternative to any of them. If you are a Telegram user, you can follow our official channel to read Winaero on Telegram.
