Vivaldi 4.3 is out, here are the changes

Vivaldi Technologies is back with another major browser update that contains a load of improvements, new features, and fixes. Version 4.3 of the world's most feature rich browser is now available in the stable channel with Idle Detection API prevention, 68 new languages in the translator, and more.

What is new in Vivaldi 4.3?

Here are the main changes in Vivaldi 4.3:

• Improved Capture. The built-in screenshot tool now has improved icons for better clarity and understanding of how the utility works. Also, developers brought the frequently requested screenshot resizing feature - no more cropping captures in Paint or other editors.
• Improved Sync. Vivaldi Setting Sync UI received refined, more intuitive looks with polished icons to focus your attention on primary features.
• A new Download Panel. The Download Panel in Vivaldi 4.3 now provides more information about the files you pull from the Internet. There is a new informative graph showing your download speeds and two buttons to restart a download or find it on your computer.
• Idle Detection API. Google recently introduced the Idle Detection API that lets developers know how end-users interact with their hardware. Vivaldi believes the Idle Detection API opens a new door for privacy abuse. For that reason, developers decided to block the API by default for all Vivaldi users. The browser will not even allow websites to ask for permission to use the Idle Detection API.
• More languages in Vivaldi Translate. Vivaldi 4.3 brings 68 new languages to its built-in translator powered by Lingvanex. The browser now supports 108 languages for a privacy-focused page translation.
• Mail and Calendar improvements. Vivaldi changed how OAuth works in the Mail and Calendar to improve privacy. You can now log in with your Gmail account without automatically signing into other Google services. Also, you can add attachments using drag-and-drop.
• PWA. The Vivaldi browser now supports Progressive Web Applications.
