You might remember the famous so called "Godmode" folder tweak which is extremely popular. The so called "God Mode" folder which is actually the Control Panel All Tasks folder is a way to view ALL the settings available in Windows in one place. The All Tasks folder is a hidden Control Panel folder in Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and even Vista. In Windows 8.1 and 10, a new app called "Settings" has started replacing most of the Control Panel settings. So what will happen to the God Mode folder? Well it turns out, you can view the new Modern PC Settings in a similar way by doing a few tricks. Here is how.

To view the Modern settings of the Settings app like a God Mode folder in Windows 10, do the following:
- Press Win + R keys together to open the Run dialog and open this folder where Settings are stored.
%LocalAppdata%\Packages\windows.immersivecontrolpanel_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Indexed\Settings\en-US
Note: 'en-us' here represents the English language. Change it accordingly to ru-RU, de-DE and so on if your Windows language is different.
- In the search box of the Explorer, type the asterisk char: *.
- After a second, all the Settings will be displayed which is essentially all the tasks you can do in the Settings app as one big list a.k.a Godmode:
- To run the appropriate option, right click it in the list and then pick "Open File Location" in the context menu:
- Once the file location will be opened, just doubleclick the selected file to run the Settings page directly.
- Now click on the Search tab of the Ribbon and click Save search. You can save this file anywhere you want, for example, the Desktop folder.
Note that the "classic" Godmode folder is still available in Windows 10. You can open it by typing the following command in the Run box:
shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

i have created the shortcut on desktop instead: C:\Windows\explorer.exe shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
also i searched * in settings and it works
thanks so much
When I type * into the Settings search box, I just get ‘No results for *’.
Didn’t work for me, Getting this http://i.imgur.com/trVIM73.png
Because you added space before asterisk.
Nope, doesn’t work on my Windows 10 Home. Ì get “No results for *”
This is a great tip! Keep up the good work.
First of all there is nothing special about searching with the * character. I get the same results by searching with the – character and for that matter just hitting the Spacebar in Settings search brings up the same results. Furthermore, if you scroll down you will notice the list is alphabetized and ends with Enroll in Device Management (MDM) just 25 entries in all. Where are the rest of the entries that begin with f,g,h,i,…..x,y,z? Surely this incomplete list cannot be consider a God Mode like folder.
