Threads hit 30 million signups in less than 20 hours of launch, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said. The new text messaging service Threads, which was launched by Meta earlier Thursday, is set to take on Twitter, which is now owned by Elon Musk.

While the Threads app is just launched, Twitter is already threatening Meta with a lawsuit, according to news portal Semafor.

As the source reveals, just hours after the launch of the new social network, Twitter lawyer Alex Spiro sent a letter to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg accusing the company of poaching employees who "had and continue to have access to Twitter's trade secrets and other highly sensitive information."
