The first Windows 10 Creators Update preview release is expected this week

As it was officially announced, Windows 10 "Redstone 2" will be named the Creators Update. The next build, which represents the Creators Update branch is expected to be released later this week.

During the Microsoft Event in October 2016, the company announced a number of exciting features that will be included in the upcoming release. For example, there are several new 3D technologies:
- Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality features (Holographic shell)
- Hololens app will create a "hologram" out of 3D pics
- 3D drawing in Paint 3D
- 3D objects in PowerPoint slides
- 3D scanning in the Windows Camera 3D app and importing to Paint 3D
- Ability to export creations from Minecraft into the web community at Remix3D, export them to Paint 3D or 3D print them
- Remix3D community is available as an import source in Microsoft Office applications, enabling users to add 3D models and animations to presentations and other documents.

Paint 3D, Camera 3D, 3D Print, and Hololens apps are all Universal Windows Platform apps. A preview of the Paint 3D app is now available here . It works on Redstone 1 "Anniversary Update" builds as well.

Windows Insiders who are on the Fast ring of updates are regularly getting builds from the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update branch, however, these builds don't yet have any of the mentioned features. Starting this week, Microsoft is going to roll out these new features.

As of this writing, the most recent Windows 10 "Redstone 2" build is version 14955, which was released a few days ago.
