Here is another round of aggressive attempts from Microsoft to push Windows 10 on every Windows 7 and Windows 8 user. They are very anxious to move everyone to Windows 10 as soon as possible. There are a number of tricks the company is using to make the user install Windows 10. They are showing nags, annoyingly downloading it silently and hiding options to ignore the prompts. Now the Windows 10 upgrade offer has no obvious Cancel button although you might still be able to ignore it.

Windows 10 will become a recommended update
If you are not impressed by Windows 10 and decided to not move to it, you were probably able to avoid it and its free upgrade offer. But soon Microsoft is taking another step to coax users towards Windows 10. The update which enables the upgrade to Windows 10 will become a recommended update. Recommended updates are automatically installed if your Windows Update settings are configured to do so.
Windows 10 might be silently downloaded on your computer
It has come to the attention of everyone that Microsoft is so anxious to get you on Windows 10 that all PCs running Windows 7 and Windows 8 which have automatic updates enabled are silently downloading Windows 10 just in case you need it. It does not install automatically but does use up several GBs of your internet plan and disk space. While this behaviour was expected for users who had explicitly reserved Windows 10, it has surprised many others who found a huge, hidden folder on their PC with Windows 10 Setup files.
