On August 13, 2019 Microsoft will disable VBScript in IE11 for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1

As you may remember, Microsoft has disabled VBScript in Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 10 starting in Windows 10 build 16237. This technology is considered deprecated, so it is now turned off by default in IE11 on all supported Windows versions.

VBScript in Internet Explorer 11 is now disabled

The most recent Insider Preview, Windows 10 build 16237 comes with VBScript support disabled in Internet Explorer 11. VBScript is a scripting language based on Visual Basic. It is widely used in Windows and can be used in web pages, mostly IE-oriented since other web browsers support only JavaScript.
