Windows 10 won’t allow replacing search engine of Cortana

Today, Microsoft announced that they will roll out changes to Cortana so that only Bing and Microsoft Edge can be used for utilizing its functionality in Windows 10. Microsoft will forbid redirection of the taskbar search box to Google or any other engine, as well as launch exclusively Microsoft Edge to show more details of the search. The searches will redirected back to Bing and Edge for those who customized it to use Google search in Chrome or Firefox.

Windows 10 Redstone will allow Cortana to show notifications across paired devices

Yesterday, Microsoft released Windows 10 Insider Preview build 14295 for the Redstone branch. The official announcement contains only a few bug fixes and known issues, however, this build seems to have some new features under the hood.
