Microsoft has confirmed that up to six AI features will become available for Copilot+ laptops with NPU and latest CPUs from Intel and AMD. Those include Recall, Context-aware Copilot, Subtitle translation, Auto Super Resolution, Improved image and text generation with Cocreator, and improved Windows Studio effects.
Intel has unveiled the Intel Core Ultra 200v mobile processors (codenamed Lunar Lake), which will power the latest laptops from companies including Acer, ASUS, Dell Technologies, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI and Samsung.

The key feature of the new products is the presence of a neural processing unit (NPU) called Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (Intel XMX) with a performance of 67 TOPs (Tera Operations Per Second). This means that the devices will be labeled Copilot+, and users will be able to take advantage of new AI-based features in Windows 11.
In its press release, Intel noted that devices with Intel Core Ultra 200v processors running the latest version of Windows will have access to new AI-based features as early as November as a free operating system update.
Microsoft has confirmed that devices powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 and Intel Core Ultra 200v processors will soon have access to Copilot+ AI features, with testing in the Windows Insider program set to begin in October.
Features available only on Copilot+ PC:
- Recall. The function works in the background, remembers all information on the screen and user actions, and also allows you to search for data using natural language queries.
- Context-aware Copilot: Recall understands what's currently on your screen and suggests helpful actions based on that information.
- Live Captions with translation. Windows will be able to translate subtitles into English in real time from more than 40 languages without the need for a cloud connection.
- Auto Super Resolution: Windows will be able to automatically improve the quality of images and videos, making them clearer and more detailed.
- Improved image and text generation with Cocreator. Copilot can now generate images and text without accessing the cloud, which significantly speeds up some tasks.
- Improved Windows Studio effects: The operating system can now virtually enhance lighting conditions and apply artistic styles to your videos.
