Microsoft has released another minor update for its still-in-testing Skype universal app for Windows 10. The new update, version 11.11.103.0, is currently available only to Windows Insider Program members in the Slow ring and should be pushed out for Release Preview and Production rings in the coming weeks.
This update is available to both PC and Mobile users. Despite being a minor revision, version 11.11.103.0 introduces a handy and long awaited new feature, allowing you to see your unread messages count on the app's live tile.
The full official change log for this update looks like this:
- You can now use the unread counter on the Skype Preview tile to easily see how many unseen conversations on that machine you have.
- If you have enabled the “Use my address book” setting on your local device, you can send a contact request via email to contacts on your device.
As always, if you have automatic updates enabled in the Windows Store, this update should already be installed on your device. If not, head to its page in the Store and hit the update button. If you don't have Skype UWP installed, you can also grab it from there.
