A new version of the Skype app for Windows 10 is out to the public. It comes with a touch of Fluent Design.
This version adds the Acrylic blur effect and reveal effects to the sidebar conversation list located on the left side of the window. The left side of the app's window also features a bit of transparency.
Microsoft highlights the ability to set your current presence using the profile page, but this feature is not actually new, as it was introduced in previous builds of the app.
Skype is also available in Windows Mixed Reality, allowing the user to respond to messages without leaving a game or VR scene, or share the VR contents.
Skype for Windows 10 is available in the Store. If you are have automatic updates enabled in the Windows Store, this update should already be installed on your device. If not, head to its page in the Store and hit the update button. If you don't have Skype installed, you can also grab it from there. The app version is 12.10.572.0.
