Winamp is one of the most popular media players available for Windows. It's also one of the oldest ones. From my personal experience, it is one of the most versatile and feature-rich media players, has an enormous variety of plugins and skins available and is stable enough for every day use.
It is 2017 and I still love and use Winamp. If you are using Winamp too, here is good news. A lovely skin "Quinto Black CT" version 1.1 is now available.
The Quinto Black CT skin is created by PeterK., who is known for his high quality skins for Winamp. While the Winamp application is not getting updates for several years, it still has plenty of users. Many of them are making new skins. Quinto Black CT is one such skin. It is a modern skin (*.wal) which utilizes all the rich features of Winamp's skin engine.

Advertisеment
Winamp is still awesome.
Thanks for keeping us informed about the latest updates.
You can still feel it being a decade or even older comparing to nowadays’ programs. By the way, Winamp’s page has been promising its resurrection for like several years. It’s still promising to this day.
Yeah.
Thanks for this skin link.
As for Winamp, we had this ‘news update’ tweet last year, but nothing came of it:

Yep.
I really liked Winamp years ago but the traditional interface was so small that I found it impossible to use. Then a new, cleaner and larger one came out that was barely usable, so still a struggle, with tiny text and buttons. I finally accepted that this was their approach and moved on.
Have things changed since then so that users can decide on how the UI is displayed?
Look at this skin: http://zebnoid.deviantart.com/art/Winamp-WMP11-Skin-59300543
It has nice large buttons for everything.
Thank you! I like it but it doesn’t display properly at all on my setup but looks like an entirely different skin. This whole OS needs a fresh install anyway so we shall see. :)
As a WinAmp user for more than a decade, i can say that AIMP is updating frequently, supports latest OS and is feature rich and has great collection of plugins and skins. So try it if you in search for a modern WinAmp substitute.
