PowerToys 0.87 makes the New+ menu compatible with Windows 10

Microsoft has released a new version of its PowerToys app suite. This time, besides the huge list of fixes and various improvements, it also brings the New+ menu utility to Windows 10. Starting with PowerToys 0.87, you can use this powerful and flexible replacement for the Right-click > New menu in Windows 10's File Explorer.

When right-clicking in Explorer and selecting New+, the user is presented with a number of options. For example, selecting Windows Batch Project will speed up the creation of a batch file that loops through the files in a folder.

The developers note the target audience of this module: experienced Windows users, developers and, eventually, regular users who often need to create files or folders with similar content, such as VS Code development projects, job applications and cover letters, scripts, etc.

Unlike the standard menu, which is not very convenient for beginners, the PowerToys option is more flexible and offers a number of settings. So now Windows 10 users can enjoy the most recent addition to PowerToys.
