Phone Link for Android gets Auto-generated Suggested Replies for SMS

Windows Insiders in all channels are getting a new version of the Phone Link app. Starting with build 1.24051.98 and higher, it will offer the user a new feature - Suggested Replies. The app will provide AI-generated answers that you can easily pick without typing.

Microsoft says:

We’re excited to announce the addition of a new feature to the Phone Link app for Android users: Suggested Replies. Powered by our cloud-based intelligent suggestion model, this feature is designed to make your messaging experience seamless and more efficient.

When you receive a message, you will be presented with 3 relevant reply options through Suggested Replies. This feature is active upon installation, allowing you to easily select a reply and send it instantly.

Please note that Microsoft usually rolls out the new features gradually, so it may not be available to you right away.

Earlier, Phone Link as got an OCR option. The user can select and copy text from images synced with Android smartphones.

Microsoft has started the Suggested Replies roll-out along with the Windows 11 Build 26227 Canary release.
